Fresh Off the Grille- Formally Miami Subs

Fresh Off the Grille- Formally Miami Subs

I had been home the whole day doing my normal chores and I had to head out to the CVS minute clinic in Delray for a TB test. I was hungry and I decided I wanted to eat out. Normally I would want something like Wendy's because it's fast and I love their 4 for $4 meal combo. I thought about it and deep inside I have a soft spot for Miami subs since my parents use to take me as a kid to eat subs and gyros. Not wanting to intake all the calories that Wendy's has to offer I chose Miami Subs as I was driving. After I made a U-turn to pull into Miami subs I realized that there was a new name and it wasn't Miami subs on the sign in front of the restaurant. I saw there were cars parked in the lot, so I parked and casually walked in. A friendly man greeted me and said, "How are you, friend?" I immediately felt welcomed and I asked the friendly man "No more Miami-Subs ?" He replied with "It's all still here, we just added more." I was blown away by the change that was done inside. I looked at the menu and I noticed there was more Latin food added to the menu which was posted on Flat screen TV's. I observed the menu while I tried to keep my mouth from drooling. I saw there combo #2 was a burger with fries and a drink at around $6, so I ordered that. The man took my money and handed me a receipt and told me he would bring my food to the table. I was already impressed, but I was going to have my food served to me at my seat, I immediately was hooked to Fresh off the Grille without even trying their food. I turned around away from the counter and poured some lemonade into my cup and began to look for a seat. If you have been to this same location while it was called Miami Subs you would know that it was not a pretty location. The new name also brought a new environment into the restaurant.
The walls had been freshly painted Gray and green, and I could tell they had just laid down some new floor. Miami Subs had the typical fast food look with booths, tables, and chairs. Fresh Off the Grille had brought in some new tables and chairs which reminded me of being at bayside eating Cuban food. I sat down and enjoyed some TV as I went alone.
I could see the cook in the back grilling my burger and I could also see a happy couple enjoying their company and their friend shrimp. I saw the cook finish my burger and the cashier walked over and served me my burger and fries Fresh off the grille.
I was surprised to receive the burger on a plate, but I was surprised how good it looked. I opened the burger to observe its soul. There was not only one beef patty, but there were 2 beef patties! The lettuce, tomato, onions, beef patties, and cheese were perfectly stacked in a soft fresh bun. I took a bite and was instantly in love because the meat was so real and tender. The burger did not last more than 2 minutes because I immediately devoured it. I got some ketchup and began on the fries. They were crisp and not greasy at all which was great.
My overall experience was 10 times better than the original Miami Subs brand that was there before, so I will give props to management for the complete reboot of the restaurant, and, of course, I will be coming back to try their churrasco.

Overall Thoughts:

- Friendly Staff
- Food is cooked when it's ordered
- New latin options
- Clean environment
- TV's with different channels
- Burger and fries tasted great

Rating
